About
The Ripley County Drug Awareness Coalition supports efforts to prevent and reduce the effects of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs among the citizens of Ripley County through funding and promoting local organizations and activities.
We focus on addressing three identified problems:
-
Alcohol, tobacco and other drugs continue to be a problem for the youth of Ripley County.
-
The abuse and misuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs continue to be a problem for adults and families in Ripley County.
-
The pervasive use and misuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs impacts all of the citizens of Ripley County.
Four counties in Indiana currently have declared public health emergencies due to problems caused by injection drug use and legal prescription medications.
